My money philosophy is simple: Money is easy! I love money. I love making money.
For the past 20 years, I’ve immersed myself in personal finance, helping my husband and me pay off debt, save money, and invest wisely. I realized that achieving financial freedom isn’t solely about saving or investing money; it’s also about seizing opportunities to increase income. This realization has been transformative in my financial journey.
In 2018, at the age of 41 I started my first blog and began writing online. That was a turning point in my life, and how I was able to make money. After 6 months, I made my first $100. Running an online business is the best way to earn money and achieve financial independence. It gives me the freedom to work from any location and on my own schedule. While it comes with significant responsibility, it also enables me to monetize my passion.
In March 2023, I began my Substack journey by publishing my very first piece. Even without any prior knowledge about Substack or how it operates, I managed to generate an additional income of over $2,000 through subscriptions within just 6 months. This achievement was particularly remarkable considering my initial lack of understanding about the platform.
Now, I’ve reached the gratifying milestone of generating a steadily increasing income through both my blog and my Substack publication. But I am not that shiny business owner who has easily created a six-figure income. No, I’m not there yet. And to be honest, earning the first dollar was the hardest.
But what I really realized is that it’s never too late to start a new career, regardless of your background. Despite not having a diploma or professional qualifications, I successfully built my own online business, even at 40+.
